Social media has become more and more popular throughout the years. Many businesses use social media to interact with their customers to get feedback and promote their products. With the advancement in technology, it has made it easier to get into contact with customers.
Any action that is done on the Internet is there forever. It's dangerous for companies because they need to watch everything that they post because it can effect their reputation. The article I found states how using social media for academic research is accelerating and raising ethical concerns. They are researching the interactions between parents and children on Facebook.
They conducted research on the effects of Facebook and the types of behavior it has on people. Most businesses either have a Facebook or Twitter page. They use the Facebook or Twitter page to get feedback for their customers. When customers see promotions or advertisements on social media, they have a greater chance of purchasing or supporting their products.
Social media is important to business now days and it is important the they put stuff on the social media sites that they want people see. I don't agree with fully with the statement about how its on there forever just because I know you can delete former post even though most people will see it, it won't be there forever. So sometimes people know what was said in the post but it’s not there forever.

I completely agree with "Any action that is done on the Internet is there forever." Most people do not realize that just deleting a post will not get rid of it forever. Whether people screen shot or do some digging they will more than likely find the post again. Great job Kristi! :)
